You are making a difference of a lifetime
I hope you enjoy our 2019-2020 Annual Report. The accomplishments we celebrate are yours. The gratitude from doctors and patients we receive belongs to you.
That will never change.
A Message from our President and CEO
As I write this message to you, I am struck by how much our world has changed in the past year. We are all experiencing COVID-19, the pandemic that has significantly impacted all of us. I hope and pray that you and your loved ones are staying safe, and that those of you who need help get it as quickly as possible.
Your donations supported a $10 million gift to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in celebration of its tenth anniversary. These funds are already being put to valuable use in upgrading equipment and technology that is used every day in diagnosing and caring for cardiac patients.
You also gave Angelena Dolezar, a young Edmonton school teacher who lost her leg in a terrifying boating accident, her life back by funding osseointegration surgery – the most advanced procedure in the world for attaching prosthetic limbs.
Your gifts made it possible for our medical teams to keep more families together, and to restore the ability in patients to do what so many of us take for granted – such as walking without pain, breathing without
effort and living independently.

2018-2019 Annual Report
Your gifts to the University Hospital Foundation write someone else’s story. A story of a life-saving heart surgery, a story of gratitude for prostate cancer care, a story of being cured of debilitating migraines because of Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
