2022 was an exhilarating year of transition, hope and accomplishment for the University Hospital Foundation site because of generous donors, new and old. Thanks to incredible community support, we advanced critically important initiatives at the University of Alberta Hospital site that will have direct bearing on the delivery of patient care and add new dimensions to medical research. The sky is the limit as we continue to ignite critical change in health care and transform health as we know it.
Thanks to the support of our generous donors, we did some truly incredible things over the last year: fundraising records were broken, fantastic and memorable events were held and we sparked medical innovation and brought hope to so many people living with end-stage kidney disease. Alongside donors like you, we are all Agents of Hope.
Your generous donations inspired extraordinary research, enabled the purchase of the newest technology, supported the opening of the first floor of West Edmonton Kidney Care and contributed to a record-breaking Heart-pledge day and Full House lottery.
Your gifts made it possible for our medical teams to keep more families together, and to restore the ability in patients to do what so many of us take for granted – such as walking without pain, breathing without effort and living independently.
Your gifts to the University Hospital Foundation write someone else’s story. A story of a life-saving heart surgery, a story of gratitude for prostate cancer care, a story of being cured of debilitating migraines because of Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
