Your Purpose

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications & Signature Events, your primary purpose is to utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions aimed at enhancing the foundation’s online presence. You will spearhead the development, execution, and management of innovative digital strategies designed to educate, inspire, and mobilize our community to support our mission. Your role involves overseeing various digital channels, optimizing online marketing campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to achieve fundraising and brand awareness objectives. Working collaboratively within marketing and communications and alongside the development team, you will create bold, innovative, and engaging solutions that can be measured and tracked for success. Your Role

As the ideal candidate, you will have the chance to develop and implement creative online marketing strategies to promote annual fundraising activities and elevate our brand presence online. You’ll play a pivotal role in managing UHF’s digital channels, including our website, social media platforms, and email marketing software. With your expertise, you’ll oversee our Google Ad campaigns and ensure they align with our goals and budget.

In addition to crafting compelling content for various platforms, you’ll lead the charge in social media strategy development and implementation, as well as paid social advertising. Your responsibilities will also include conducting keyword research, optimizing content for SEO, and collaborating with internal teams to align marketing efforts with organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or equivalent.
  • An active member of CPRS, IABC, CMA or ACE would be considered an asset

Experience:

  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of digital marketing best practices and has a minimum of three (3) years of related experience
  • An innovative digital storyteller with advanced skills in online marketing and social media management tools such as Facebook Ads Manager, SEO software, Hootsuite, Google AdWords, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, UX & UI design and web development
  • Experience with digital fundraising platforms, Mailchimp and WordPress are assets
  • Highly skilled in project management and time management
  • Consistent track record of working independently and on projects in fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Able to work collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, with strong oral communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional degree of professionalism and good judgment, using discretion where required
  • Accurate and thorough attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of and familiarity with HTML/CSS coding/editing is an asset
  • Able to work outside regular hours to support UHF events

As an outcome-focused organization, UHF offers a flexible hybrid work environment where employees have the opportunity to collaborate on site a minimum of 2 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely up to 3 days per week.
