University Hospital Foundation heralds a new era of fundraising

New Brand Reflects Bold Vision For The Future Of Health

Edmonton, AB – March 27, 2023

The University Hospital Foundation (UHF) is pleased to announce the completion of our rebrand project. This evolution to our 60-year-old brand is driven by our commitment outlined in Ignite 2030 β€” our 10-year strategic plan β€” to transform and redefine health and health care through revenue generation, partnership impact, thought leadership and health ecosystem leadership.

Included in our refreshed brand is the adoption of bright magenta and plum to our existing yellow, orange and red, and a new chrysalis logo that reflects our purpose to continuously seek, inspire, and support bold solutions to seemingly insurmountable challenges and ignite new discoveries in health. β€œThe reimagining of the University Hospital Foundation brand is a reflection of the belief of our donors and our own daring vision and commitment to be at the forefront of health ecosystem leadership. Thanks to our many supporters, donors and partners, we are able to continue our work to be the catalyst in transforming health in Alberta and around the world.” said Jodi L. Abbott, President and CEO of the University Hospital Foundation.

Created in 1962, the University Hospital Foundation raises funds to advance patient care and innovation at the University of Alberta Hospital, the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and the Kaye Edmonton Clinic. In the decades since, we have evolved into one of the most successful hospital fundraising organizations in Canada. Situated at the nexus of philanthropy, health sciences and academic research within Alberta’s health ecosystem – coupled with our visionary leadership and governance – we continue forward in catalyzing advancements in health and making the impossible, possible.
