Festival of Trees
For more than 35 years, the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees has served as Edmonton’s premiere Christmas event, attracting over 35,000 visitors annually.
Our in-person event is postponed this year, but we won’t let COVID-19 steal Festival of Trees!
Check out our virtual Christmas experiences from the comfort and safety of your own home.
2020 fundraising causeLearn More
The Festival of Trees has raised over $22 million for critically important causes at the University of Alberta Hospital site. We continuously seek and support bold solutions to seemingly insurmontable health challenges, to ignite new discoveries that change the world.
Alzheimer’s disease is one of those challenges.
Dr. Jack Jhamandas and his team of world-renowned researchers have made a major discovery, reversing the effects of Alzheimer’s disease in mice in the lab.
This year, we hope to raise over $1 million to support his research, with a hope of restoring memory in the millions of Canadians battling Alzheimer’s disease.
Heart Pledge Day
630 CHED Heart Pledge Day is the University Hospital Foundation’s annual radiothon, which broadcasts live from the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in February. Physicians, medical researchers, healthcare staff and patients share their personal stories to raise funds for the world-class cardiac care at the Maz.
