Celebrating Safely In 2021
The University Hospital Foundation’s 2021 Festival of Trees is inviting Albertans to Share the Joy and connect with the spirit of the season safely as we move our flagship fundraiser outdoors and online. We made the difficult decision to cancel all in-person events at the Edmonton Convention Centre.
The health and safety of our guests and volunteers is a top priority. As persistent advocates for the healthcare system, we have taken great care in planning a variety of fun, inclusive experiences for everyone. Even if we are socially distant or enjoying the festivities in our own homes, it is important that we take the opportunity to laugh and play and add joy back into the holidays
SHARE THE JOY
The theme of this year’s Festival of Trees is “Share the Joy” and it’s sure to dazzle as the University Hospital Foundation welcomes the entire community to celebrate the holidays with the traditions and cultures that make our community strong and vibrant. It’s about bringing the people and cultures of Edmonton and surrounding areas together to make new friends, laugh and play, share joy, and advance care for those who need our help to live healthier lives.
Festival of Trees has raised over $22 million for critically important causes at the University of Alberta Hospital site.
This year, funds raised through the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees will support the Phase 2 expansion of West Edmonton Kidney Care, a University of Alberta Hospital community facility, to move the home hemo and peritoneal dialysis training and education programs into the centre.
