Since 1985, the University Hospital Foundation’s Festival of Trees has served as one of the Edmonton area’s largest holiday celebrations, and has raised over $23 million for the University of Alberta Hospital, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute (Maz) and Kaye Edmonton Clinic. Past support has had a major impact on every area of care provided at the University of Alberta Hospital site, including funding advanced life support equipment and the cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) at the Maz, the University of Alberta Hospital’s Stroke Ambulance, and Alzheimer’s disease research.
Transforming Neuro Rehabilitation
Presented by Landmark Homes, the cause for the 2022 Festival of Trees is neuro rehabilitation.
By 2031, the estimated number of Canadians hospitalized with a brain injury will increase by 28%. Together, we can transform neuro rehabilitation in Alberta and beyond, with the creation of an advanced Neuro Rehabilitation Innovation Centre at the University of Alberta Hospital. Our commitment to raise $1 million for this project will give researchers near-limitless opportunities to make groundbreaking discoveries that will impact the lives of those living with traumatic neurological conditions.
